October 2011: I've been adopted!

Our newest little broken leg girl is named Brava. She will be 2 years old this month. Fortunately she did not need surgery to fix her leg. The break was not a new one when we got her and has begun to heal well enough to continue to heal on it's own. She sported a long splint and wrap which was changed weekly. After a while the splint was removed and she was put in a soft wrap for a few weeks.

This little girl is one huge bundle of energy!! Even with her splint, she insisted on trying to run and jump and do 360's in the air. It was really hard to keep her quiet! She loves the world....there are no strangers in her book....just more people to meet, things to do and rides to take in the van. I bet she would love some ten year old kids of her own!

8/14/11 update: Brava's leg is completely healed and she is ready to go home. Since she has been free to play again, she has really settled down. She is learning her manners, no more ballet moves in the air and she is so darn happy to meet new people. She is going to be a wonderful addition to the right home. She may learn to live with cats but right now she is just too overwhelming to the cats she has met!

Brava wanted everyone to know that she is ready to find her very own home now! Her leg is healed and she would love to pack her suitcase and leave the kennel for a soft bed and a couch.
She probably cannot live with cats but she can live with and likes dogs over 20 lbs. She still plays very hard but is one loving little girl.
Contact Grey Haven (Marilyn) if you have any questions!
