February fundraiser Winslow prize package winner
Our February fund raising efforts culminated with two events.
Secondly, we drew the winning ticket for the Winslow Prize Pack. But it was not without some last-minute drama!

I forgot that I usually have another pair of hands available when we pick the winning ticket. I was trying to juggle the huge bowl, the dogs, the peanut butter and my camera. It didn't go well.
There is peanut butter all over the kitchen, the camera and me. The dogs managed to lick it all off each other!
Jerry and Alex were not really into the spirit of ticket drawing ... they just wanted the peanut butter.
By the time we actually got Jerry to get a ticket stuck to his nose, it was pretty messy.

And then imagine my surprise when I went to get my list of numbers and found the winner was none other than Craig DeYong, Winslow's dad.
After a quick call to Craig, he admitted that all he wanted was the crocheted likeness of his boy. He says he has Winslow paintings all over the house and asked that we pick another ticket for the Winslow painting. (Thanks, Craig!!)
I'm proud to announce the winner of the wonderful Winslow painting is Seglinda Marlin of Jacksonville! Congratulations, Seglinda!!!

Thank you to everyone who showed their support of Greyhound Adoptions of Florida and made our February fundraiser a success.Your generosity has given us the ability to help yet another special greyhound here at Grey Haven.
Now 'scuse me while I go wipe the peanut butter off the floor.

I forgot to say "greyt job" to Jerry Murray and Alex. And thanks for posting the photos. It's almost like we were right there with you. If only we were to help with all the clean-up. Dasch & Dale would have been more than happy to remove peanut butter from any and all surfaces!
