Essence: This greyhound loves her new bed, home and family
My husband was looking on the GAF website and came across Essie's story. We hadn’t considered adopting a third greyhound but he was so moved by her story he showed it to me.
Essie looked so sweet and we felt with her personality she would fit in perfectly with our other two greyhounds, so we decided to adopt her.
We were so excited waiting for her to arrive from Florida. Finally, adoption day arrived and as soon as we laid eyes on her we fell in love with her.
We brought her home and introduced her to our two greyhounds Rusty (10 years old) and Mia (8 years old) and they were all instant friends.
Right away Essie realized how great it is to have a dog bed of her very own.
Rusty and Mia took on the role of teaching her how to play with their toys, the best spots to sniff in the back yard, and how to bark at the neighborhood cats. Essie has re-awakened Mia’s playful side by racing her around the yard.
Essie quickly learned how to use sad puppy eyes to get a treat! It didn’t take Essie long to come out of her shell and show us her goofy and loving personality!
She loves being snuggled and wraps her head around your neck to hug back.
Essie has also found the joy in destroying a screaming monkey toy and she shows love to everyone she meets!
Essie is truly an amazing girl and we are so blessed to have found her. In such a short time our family would not be complete without her!

aaaah, I loved reading this! Thank you Valerie, for sharing this wonderful story with all of us. While we miss "our" Essie every day, we are thrilled that she is finally home.......and what a special home it is!!

Hi Mommy, Good to see you again, I am so happy you found such a nice new home and pack to play with. I just have one other grey at my house and she is very bossy. I really miss you. Oh yes, I love your monkey video. You should see me with my pink pig, :))
