It's about a month away and Dione & I have been collecting stories and little newsy tidbits and pictures.  Lots and lots of wonderful pictures...which actually raises an interesting question:  Are great photographers naturally drawn to greyhounds?  OR  Does adopting a greyhound just inspire great photographs?  Let us know what you think!

And, there's still room for more, so if you've got some Summer Fun With My Dog photos, or an adorable pose you used on Facebook, or a funny story or helpful hint...send them our way please!  Yes, and also let's highlight events coming up in the next few months...Meet & Greets, Fundraisers, all the greyhound get-togethers that we all want to read about and even attend. 

After this summer with the grinding heat and/or the non-stop rains, and then topped off by Irene's unwelcome visit, we could all use some smiles.  And delivering smiles is what our dogs do best, right?

Please send your pictures with some detail (your name, your dog's name, where you live and what wonderful thing is happening in the photo) directly to Dione Garnand at garnandogs@comcast.net and your stories, news and other fun stuff to Joyce Carta  joyce@joycecarta.com  (Please don't send pictures to me, Joyce, as my temperamental computer doesn't always like to forward them in a useable manner.)   So, to be sure of being in the First Issue, we need to hear from you by September 15!
